Creating a beautiful infrared glow to stay cosy besides, the 1200W Athena Infrared Bar Heater is a durable and powerful source of heat with a stylish finish. Measuring in at 794mm by 160mm and only 88mm deep, the Athena is much sleeker compared to other similarly powerful heaters.

The carbon fibre elements of this heater will reach surface temperatures of between 200°C and 300°C. However, it can be safely mounted well out of reach for protection from accidental burns.

This heater has an IP65 rating, which means it’s absolutely perfect for use on patios and other outdoor spaces. Using 1200W means it should warm a space of roughly 15m².

IR Can Reduce Your Bills

Heating the outdoors is normally a bit of a waste of time and energy, which is where the unique traits of infrared really come into play. Warming the air around you in a cycle as convection heaters do will inevitably be ruined by even the gentlest breeze, due to the lack of insulation in the space.

Infrared heaters instead use radiant heat. They send out waves of infrared radiation, which will be absorbed by the first object they hit. That warms them up from the inside. This process is a lot faster than any convection heater, and it’s not impacted by draughts. This makes IR heaters way more effective outdoor heaters, as they won’t need to run for as long.

In fact, using an IR heater to heat your patio could reduce your bills by as much as 60%.

Powerful Heat

While most of our heaters make use of far infrared heat, Athena heaters make use of near infrared heat. The crucial difference is that near infrared is further along the electromagnetic spectrum, with shorter wavelengths. This creates a much more intense, powerful heat source- one that’s perfect for outdoor use.

Near infrared heat is still safe to be around, although it can feel a bit uncomfortable to be sat close to for prolonged periods. Mounting your Athena on the wall is the perfect way to mitigate this.

Easy Installation

Don’t worry, mounting your Athena heater on the wall or ceiling is easy to do right out of the box. All you’ll need is a drill.

With a stencil in the box, you will need to draw onto the surface where you want the heater to go and drill in the brackets. Our heaters come delivered with four wall brackets – two that will go into your wall and two to be affixed to the back to the panel.

The brackets are also adjustable so you can steer the heat to any direction you want!

You can also plug them into your socket, or hire an electrician to wire them into the mains.

Superior Build Quality

To keep your heater lasting for as long as possible, Athenas are constructed out of premium aluminium for the outer shell and use carbon fibre in their heating elements. This ensures they can diffuse heat safely away from their core components, improving their efficiency and lifespan.

In fact, an IR heater can last for up to 30 years, with only minimal care needed. Just wipe them down every so often to keep the surface dust free.
