4. Identifying Modern Slavery
Modern slavery can take various forms, including forced labour, debt bondage, child labour, and human trafficking. Potential warning signs include:
Workers who appear frightened, isolated, or unable to speak freely
Excessive working hours, low or withheld pay, or unsafe working conditions
Confiscation of identity documents or travel restrictions imposed by employers
Overcrowded or substandard accommodation provided by an employer
Individuals working to repay debts under threat or coercion
Any suspicions or concerns must be reported without delay.
