Retail Space Heating Installation

Before the installation, Ministry of Design relied on four 2kW convection blow heaters to warm the shop floor. With the store’s high ceilings and automatic front door, much of the warm air quickly rose and escaped — leaving the lower occupied areas cold and the heating bills unnecessarily high.

The client needed a more efficient system that could deliver heat where it was needed most — at customer level — without the waste and cost of traditional convection systems. Infrared Group proposed an upgrade to near-infrared bar heaters, designed specifically for commercial spaces and high-ceilinged environments, to deliver targeted, radiant heat directly to the occupied zone.

This approach would ensure uniform warmth, lower energy usage, and greater comfort for both customers browsing and staff working on the shop floor.

Discover Phase

Conducted a site visit to assess ceiling height, layout, and airflow patterns caused by the automatic front door.

Specified two 3kW near-infrared bar heaters for optimal coverage and rapid response.

Implementation Phase

Installation completed in 3 hours by a single electrician, with minimal disruption to trading hours.
Heaters securely mounted high on the wall, angled to radiate heat evenly across the retail area.
System tested rigorously for safety, performance, and coverage uniformity.
