Project Background

Before installation, Gorilla Events relied on conventional convection heaters that struggled to heat their varied office spaces effectively. The mix of open-plan areas, meeting rooms, and production spaces meant heating demand often changed throughout the day, making temperature management inconsistent and inefficient.

As a creative agency working in the live events sector, Gorilla Events required a modern, flexible heating solution that matched their dynamic workflow — one that could adapt quickly to changing occupancy, provide zoned control, and maintain a comfortable working environment without excessive running costs.

They sought a stylish, low-maintenance, and sustainable system that would complement their modern interior design while offering precise control from any location.

Objectives:

  • Provide efficient, responsive heating for a multi-use office environment.

  • Reduce energy consumption and improve comfort across all work zones.

  • Enable flexible, zoned control from smart devices.

  • Ensure fast warm-up times to match a fast-moving workplace.

  • Deliver a clean, modern aesthetic suitable for an open office.

Key Features:

  • Installation of 1100W and 700W Classic Infrared Panels for individual workspaces and meeting areas.

  • 1.5kW Infrared Bar Heaters installed in larger open areas and higher-ceiling sections.

  • Full integration with a Smart Wi-Fi control system accessible via smartphone or computer.

  • Discreet ceiling and wall-mounted positioning for maximum comfort and minimal visual impact.

  • Rapid warm-up times providing instant, even heat throughout the building.

Discover Phase

  • Conducted an on-site survey to assess building layout, ceiling heights, and existing electrical capacity.

  • Identified the differing heating requirements of open areas versus enclosed offices.

  • Worked with Gorilla Events’ team to understand usage patterns and design preferences.

Design & Development Phase

  • Specified the correct mix of panel wattages (1100W and 700W) to achieve optimal comfort in all rooms.

  • Recommended 1.5kW bar heaters for larger, open-plan areas to ensure sufficient coverage.

  • Designed a zoned control system for flexible operation via Wi-Fi and smart devices.

  • Balanced performance and cost to deliver a solution within the client’s budget.

Implementation Phase

  • Installation completed efficiently by two qualified electricians in a single day.

  • Mounted heaters in strategic positions to ensure even heat distribution and aesthetic integration.

  • Hardwired all heaters directly into the fuse board, connecting relays and configuring the Smart Wi-Fi system.

  • Tested each unit rigorously to ensure full functionality and safety compliance.

  • Provided a detailed handover, walking the client through operation via the SALUS Premium Lite app, including scheduling, temperature settings, and remote access.
